The first time I realized I wanted to go into nursing school was during my first surgery because the nurses were by my side throughout everything, and I would like to be there for other people. She introduced me to the nurse anesthetist and anesthesiologist who explained who they were and what they did. The nurse anesthetist went into detail about everything that would happen and what they would be doing the entire time. She comforted me all the way back to the operating room and then as soon as I woke up she was there.  There were a lot of challenges throughout the process that I do not think I could have overcome without the nurses that comforted me. After the surgery, I realized I wanted to become a nurse anesthetist one day. I think I encompass all of the qualities of a good nurse including empathy, caring, respect, and compassion. I am also willing to do all of the hard work it takes to become a nurse. 

Pros:	Cons:
1. Lots of job openings 2. Great salary 3. Helping the ones who need help	1. Long work week (overtime)/ Long surgeries 2. Extensive education (lots of certifications required) 3. Mentall draining and extremely stressful
